Boney Kapoor was preparing to make a film with Diljit Dosanjh and Priyanka Chopra. But then Priyanka moved away from Bollywood films and started working in Hollywood films. Because of this, Boney Kapoor’s film was stopped before it was made.
In an interview with Connect FM Canada, Boney talked about Diljit. He said- ‘He (Diljit) has always been a good actor. Long ago I had planned to make a film with him and Priyanka Chopra. The name of the film was to be ‘Sardarni’. Then Priyanka got an offer for the American TV series Quantico. He asked us to wait for some time.’
Boney said, ‘Even after this, Priyanka accepted the offer. This is why we had to accept defeat. She was trapped after doing this series. His work in the series was well received. He got offers of more projects based on good acting. After this he started his career there. As a result, our film was shelved.’
Boney called Diljit a good actor and singer
Boney said that when he talked to Diljit about this film with Priyanka, Diljit almost agreed for the film. Praising Diljit, he said- ‘I have seen many of his Punjabi films.’
‘He has a great sense of comedy and his comic timing is superb. He is also a good singer.’
Diljit will be seen in Boney’s film ‘No Entry 2’
Boney Kapoor announced the film ‘No Entry 2’ some time ago. The film also stars Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan along with Diljit Dosanjh. The film ‘No Entry’ will release in theaters in 2025, marking 20 years.
Boney Kapoor in an interview said why he cast the three stars. He said that Varun and Arjun are very good friends. A great chemistry between the two will be seen on screen. At the same time, Diljit has a huge fan following today. In this regard, the trio will do wonders on screen.
