The new release date of South star Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ will be announced on 21st April. According to media reports, the makers are gearing up to make a big announcement on Sunday which might give fans a jolt.
According to sources, earlier the release date of the film was announced as May 9, 2024 but now it is being said that the makers are going to announce its new release date.
There are reports that the release date of the film has been postponed due to the Lok Sabha elections. Apart from this, it is also being speculated that the makers may also share some major updates related to the film’s story or its characters.

Budget-wise, the biggest bet this year has been placed on ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Its budget is 600 crores. It is produced by famous Telugu cinema director Nag Ashwin. Apart from Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan will also be seen in this all-Indian film.
This film is going to prove to be very important for Prabhas as last year his film ‘Adipurush’ was also made with a budget of 600 crores, but it turned out to be a flop. While ‘Salar’ Rs. 590 crore business was successful.
