Mrinal Thakur has revealed that he refused to act in many films because of his parents. In fact, parents had strict orders that they should not do intimate scenes in films. Many good films were lost due to this fear.
However, after some time he spoke to his parents about the issue. He explained to the parents that certain things have to be done according to the story. Mrinal also said that she herself is not comfortable doing intimate scenes, but she cannot impose her choice on films every time.
Rejected many films because of parents
In an interview to iDiva, Mrinal said that he rejected many films because of intimate scenes because his parents were against them. He said- I used to get scared and would not ask for any film. But how long can I say no?
There came a time when I had to talk to my parents. I told papa- papa, I can’t leave every film because sometimes it happens, it’s not my choice either.
Mrinal also said that he himself is uncomfortable doing such scenes.
Intimate scenes are necessary as per the story
Mrinal further stated that after some time he decided that he would not do a film because it had a kissing scene. He has to do what he has to do as per the script.
He further said, I wanted to do many films. But I had to leave films because of the kissing scenes. As an actor you have to be prepared for such a scene because the scene is necessary according to the story. If you are not comfortable, you can speak. You can talk, but I was leaving films because of that.
It is worth mentioning here that Mrinal was recently seen in the film Family Star. She is seen opposite Vijay Deverakonda in this film. At the same time, he will be seen in the upcoming film ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’.
