National award winning Bollywood director Dibakar Banerjee has remembered late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in a recent interview. The director said that no one remembered the actor after his death. Everyone was busy finding controversy in the news of his death.
The film ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’ was the fourth film of Sushant’s career.

In an interview to YouTuber Siddharth Kanan, Dibakar said, ‘When he died, all the news channels were looking for the cause of his death. I distanced myself from all these things. I was listening to everyone but no one said that the young actor had passed away. No one missed him. The grief of his demise was nowhere to be seen. Everyone was busy looking for controversy.
‘No one was talking about his films’
Dibakar continued – ‘No one said that, coming from outside, this boy has made a name for himself by doing TV, films, everyone was only talking about what was the conspiracy, who gave the drugs, who did the murder’.
Sushant worked in a total of 12 films in his 7-year career.
His relatives could have held a condolence meeting: Dibakar
The director went on to say – ‘Where was the mourning meeting held in which we remembered Sushant? All the people who loved him could get together and show his films. Can talk about it. We can talk about his good memories. But nothing happened.
Dibakar and Sushant worked together in the 2015 film Detective Byomkesh Bakshi. This film made under Yash Raj banner did not do well at the box office. On the work front, Dibakar’s next film ‘LSD 2’ is slated to release on April 19.
