Actress Vidya Balan’s next film is ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar Hai’. In this film, he will be seen with Pratik Gandhi. In an interview given during the promotions of the film, Vidya spoke about the struggles of her early days.
The actress said that there was a time when out of about a dozen films, she was rejected as unlucky.
Every day struggled again: Vidya
Talking to Expresso, Vidya said, ‘I went through this phase for three years. That feeling of rejection was very strong. Every night I thought I couldn’t take it anymore, however, the next day I started struggling again.
Early in her career, Vidya was cast in a film opposite Malayalam superstar Mohanlal.
‘When some films didn’t release, people called them unlucky’
Vidya further said, ‘Forget what kind of roles I wanted. After one film with Mohanlal was shelved, many films were shelved.
After that people started calling me unlucky which was heartbreaking. Due to this, many producers who signed films with me also started replacing me.
Producer said- ‘She doesn’t look like an actress’
The actress further said that when she was shooting for a Tamil film, her producer refused to even meet her.
A few days later it was revealed that she has been replaced from the film. The producer said that he had read Vidya’s horoscope and that she was unlucky.
After this, when Vidya’s parents met the producer, they said that Vidya doesn’t even look like an actress.

Luck changed after ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’
In the interview, Vidya also said that after hearing this comment, she did not look at herself in the mirror for 6 months. However, after the 2006 release of the film ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’, Vidya’s fortunes changed. He was approached by the same producer for a big film.
On the work front, apart from ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’, Vidya will also be seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya 3’. In this she will once again play the iconic character of Manjulika.
