In a conversation with Nilesh Mishra, Mukesh said- ‘So many people are interested in becoming an actor that they don’t miss the opportunity under any condition.
I will give you an example. A senior actor passes away. Many artists were present at his funeral. I don’t know why I’m telling you this, but some people attend funerals just to make contacts. I don’t understand this desire of artists.
Mukesh started his career as an assistant casting director with the film ‘Rang De Basanti’ in 2006.
Not trained, contacting directly
Mukesh continued, ‘If you have learned this art. If you work hard, I respect that. You have no training and you are trying to talk directly to me, that too in such a situation is very strange.
Mukesh said that he could not understand such behavior of people on such occasions. He has advised many struggling artists not to talk about work, at least during funerals.
Mukesh made his directorial debut with the 2016 release Dil Bechara.
In his career, Mukesh has done casting direction in many hit films like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Jawaan’. Apart from this, he was the director of Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’.
