Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh is busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ these days. Meanwhile, in an interview, he shared the experience of sharing the stage with international singer Ed Sheeran.
In an interview given to Netflix India, Diljit said that the idea of singing in Punjabi in the current concert held in Mumbai was from Ed Sheeran. While Diljit was afraid and doubted whether Sheeran would be able to sing in Punjabi or not.

In this interview, Diljit said, ‘It was not my idea to sing in Punjabi. But Sheeran himself was excited about singing in Punjabi. Two-three days of rehearsal were done for this. His band composed the song and sent it to us 10 days ago.
Wondering if he could manage?
Further, Diljit said, ‘I thought till the last moment that if Sheeran can’t sing this song, then I will play the song. I was wondering if he could manage it or not. Because a singer like Ed Sheeran has never sung in Punjabi before.’
Diljit also said that no one ever thought that Ed Sheeran would sing in Punjabi, so it was a big deal for everyone. Even when I was listening to him on stage, I felt that he should continue singing.

Diljit and Parineeti will be seen working together for the first time in ‘Chamkila’.
On the work front, Diljit’s film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ will release on April 12 on Netflix. He will be seen opposite Parineeti Chopra for the first time in this Imtiaz Ali film.
