Founder of Naturals Ice Cream passes away at 70 | India News


MANGALURU: Raghunandan Srinivas Kamath, the man behind Naturals Ice Creampassed away in Mumbai on Friday. He was 70.
Natural Ice Cream wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Our thoughts on the sad demise of our patron and founder of Naturals Ice Cream, Late (Shri) Raghunandan Kamath. Indeed, a very sad and unfortunate day for us.”
They shared a poster that read: A smile that will forever melt our hearts.A smile that will never be forgotten. A smile that will keep inspiring us and reminding us that his era will never end. To the Ice Cream Man of India who will forever stay in our hearts”.
Born in Mulki town in Dakshina Kannada districtKamath began his professional journey helping his father in his fruit business. Along with the rest of the family, he moved to Mumbai when he was 15 years old.
In 1984, Kamath launched an ice cream business and today the Rs 400 crore company has over 140 outlets across the country.
