JAIPUR: The Rajasthan HC has acquitted a man convicted in 1992 of raping his stepdaughter, citing benefit of doubt. The decision was based on several factors, including delay in filing FIR, and recording of police statements before the case was lodged. HC has ordered probe against the investigating officers. A sessions court in Jaipur had convicted the man and sentenced him to seven years.On Monday, HC overturned the sessions court order on an appeal from the man.
