This increase is due to increase in ‘Karnataka Sales Tax’.

The Karnataka state government has increased the prices of petrol and diesel. The government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 3 per liter while the price of diesel has been increased by Rs 3.02. This increase comes after the revision of ‘Karnataka Sales Tax’ (KST).

As per the notification of the state government, the KST on petrol has been increased from 25.92% to 29.84% and on diesel from 14.3% to 18.4%. After this increase, the price of petrol in Bengaluru has gone up to Rs 99.84 per liter and the price of diesel has gone up to Rs 85.93 per litre.

Petrol is being sold at Rs 94.72 per liter in Delhi
As for other places, there has been no change in the price of petrol and diesel. Petrol is being sold at Rs 94.72 per liter and diesel at Rs 87.62 per liter in the country’s capital Delhi. While in Bhopal, petrol is Rs 106.47 per liter and diesel is Rs 91.84 per litre.

In Maharashtra Most expensive petrol and diesel
The most expensive fuel in India is being sold in Parbhani in Maharashtra. Here, the price of one liter of petrol has reached 107.33 rupees per liter and the price of diesel has reached 93.74 rupees per litre. While in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar, the price of petrol is Rs 106.26 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 91.60 per litre. Cheapest petrol and diesel being sold in Port Blair.
