Mombasa – Kenya Indian Ocean Satsang Nutrition Camp in the presence of Saints of Maninagar Sri Swaminarayan Gadi, Abhishek of Sri Harikrishna Maharaj with Panchamrita, Morning Puja was celebrated with devotion.
On this occasion, Sant Shiromani Gurupriyadasji Swami explained the greatness of Shikshapatri and said that Shikshapatri was created by Shri Swaminarayan Bhagwan Himself 198 years ago on Maha Sud Panchami in Samvat 1882. Samvat 2082 will complete 200 years on Maha Sud Pancham i.e. as part of “Shikshapatri Bishatabdi Mohotsav” Shikshapatri Group Path Parayana was organized.
Explaining the importance of worship at the Satsang Nutrition Camp, he said that morning worship is considered an essential rite and without it one cannot attain peace. By worshiping one gets peace of mind. It is a way of connecting with God and helps create a unique relationship between the devotee and God.
Supreme Shri Swaminarayan has enjoined his devotees to perform regular puja in Vachanamrut and Shikshapatri, the mouthpiece of God. Brahma Muhurta is the best time for worshiping God, therefore the Supreme Lord Sri Swaminarayan Bhagwan has preserved the spiritual and physical health of His devotees by instructing them to get up before sunrise. To express gratitude to God, for the salvation of the soul, for eternal peace of mind and to experience the divine bliss of God, Pratah Pooja is indispensable.
On this occasion, Saints Shiromani Sahajananda Swami, Harikeshavdasji Swami and Gurupriyadasji Swami and young and old Haribhaktas performed mass recitation of Shikshapatri containing 212 verses, worship, aarti, anointing Shri Harikrishna Maharaj with panchamrit and aarti. Local devotees took this opportunity with great enthusiasm.
