BEAUMONT, Texas (KTRK) — A significant crack on 1-10 has caused crews to close the highway at Washington’s southbound lanes toward Houston, according to Beaumont Police
Beaumont police said vehicles cannot go under the Washington overpass either.
All traffic on Washington will be diverted either north or south on I-10 service roads, where officers are directing traffic.
If you are headed east on the west side of 1-10 near Golden Corral, authorities say you will be diverted south (right) on the service road.
If you are headed West on Washington on the east side of 1-10 near the Shell gas station, authorities say you will be diverted north (right) on the 1-10 service road toward Sam’s.
The Beaumont Police Department is advising drivers to be safe and alert.
