New Delhi. A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in the country’s capital Delhi. A woman travelling from Bihar to Punjab by train got down in Delhi for marketing. The married woman had her three-year-old son with her. After a few hours, the woman was found unconscious under the flyover. Passersby informed the police about this. The police team that reached the spot was also shocked to see the condition of the woman. The woman was immediately admitted to the hospital. When she regained consciousness, she narrated her story and the police were stunned. After this, the police started a big campaign.

Actually, a woman travelling from Bihar to Punjab was raped in Delhi. The woman said that she was travelling from Bihar to Punjab by train. She got down at New Delhi Railway Station to do some shopping in Sadar Bazar of Delhi. From there she took an e-rickshaw and reached the market. After shopping she was returning back by the same e-rickshaw. The woman said that on the way the e-rickshaw driver gave her something to drink. After drinking it she lost her senses. Police said that then the accused e-rickshaw driver raped the woman.

Police said that the victim told that the e-rickshaw driver took her to a secluded place after giving her intoxicants and raped her. The accused attacked the woman with a brick and left her bleeding. The accused Mohammad Umar then fled after leaving the woman under a flyover near Yamuna Khadar. When the passersby passing by saw the woman lying unconscious with the child, they immediately informed the police.

Police searched 500 CCTV cameras
DCP (North Delhi) Manoj Kumar Meena gave information about this incident. He said that the woman was found in a bloody state. She also had a 3-year-old child with her. After getting information from the victim, the search for the accused was started. He said that more than 500 CCTV cameras were scanned and more than 150 e-rickshaw drivers were also questioned. After collecting the information, a campaign was started to search for the accused. Later the police got success in this and the accused Mohammad Umar was arrested. A case has been registered against the accused under various sections of the IPC and further action is being taken.
