Air Canada flight going to Paris caught fire in the middle of the sky, 402 people lost their lives


New Delhi. An Air Canada flight from Toronto to Paris caught fire soon after takeoff. There were 389 passengers and 13 crew members on the plane. Within minutes of taking off from Toronto Pearson International Airport, the flight caught fire, the video of which is going viral on social media. According to Air Canada’s statement, this incident happened on Wednesday, June 5. No casualties or injuries were reported.

Following the incident, the flight’s pilot immediately gave a “pan-pan” distress signal, which prompted emergency teams on the ground. The Boeing 777 wide-body aircraft resumed flight at 12:17 a.m. (Toronto time), but at 12:39 a.m., while the plane was still climbing, air traffic control (ATC) noticed sparks coming from the right engine.
