Biden is not liked by the leaders of his own party, 5 leaders want him to be out of the presidential race


Washington: At least five Democratic Party MPs expressed their views on Sunday and said that Joe Biden should withdraw from the US presidential election to be held on November 5. This information was given in several news reports. The MPs – Jerry Nadler, Mark Takano, Joe Morell, Ted Lieu and Adam Smith expressed their views during a phone call by the Democratic Party to discuss Biden’s disappointing performance against his Republican rival Donald Trump in the debate held on June 27 in Atlanta.

Biden himself described his performance in the debate as “a bad night”. His popularity ratings have dropped and his own party colleagues have begun to question his health and his ability to govern for the next four years. Biden insisted that he would stay in the race and expressed confidence that he would win the election against Trump in November.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries held a phone call with his party colleagues in the House of Representatives to discuss the political scenario after the debate between Biden and Trump on June 27. According to The New York Times, this phone session was described as a “brainstorming session” aimed at obtaining information from party colleagues about the feasibility of Biden’s candidacy.

The news also said that even before this meeting, many top leaders believed that Biden should drop out of the presidential race. Citing two people familiar with the matter, the news said that Smith, a member of the Armed Services Committee, said that it was time for Biden to leave. Four other MPs also expressed the same views and believed that it was time for Biden to drop out of the race.
