How will this feature work
This is a standard system permission on Android that allows apps to scan for nearby devices via Bluetooth for local file-sharing. However, users have the option to turn off this access if they wish.
In addition to searching for nearby devices, WhatsApp will also need permission to access system files and photo gallery on your phone. The app will also need location permission to check if other devices are close enough to connect.
Regardless of these permissions, WhatsApp will hide phone numbers and encrypt shared files, ensuring that the sharing process is safe.
