Actually, NASA launched a satellite in 2018. The name of this satellite is Global Scale Observations of the Limb and Disk. It is called Gold in short form. This satellite has seen two structures of X and C shape in the Earth’s ionosphere. The ionosphere is the outermost part of our atmosphere and the effect of sun rays is very high in it. Scientists say that the structures seen in these two structures are rarely seen. The ionosphere is the layer of our atmosphere from where the radio waves collide and come back to the earth.
That means all the communication systems in the world are operated through the ionosphere. If there is any disturbance in this ionosphere, the whole world will be destroyed. Fazlul Laskar, the scientist who conducted this research, says that earlier such structures were usually seen during geomagnetic disturbances. But seeing such structures without any disturbance is a matter of concern.
He said that such incidents will have a direct impact on the lower atmosphere of our earth and this can affect the overall system of the earth. However, these things cannot be said with certainty right now. In such a situation, it has become necessary to know the reason behind the formation of these structures. Further research has started for this.
