New Delhi: So far 49 people have died in the Kuwait fire tragedy. A multi-storey building caught fire at 4 am on Wednesday in Mangaf area of Kuwait. The flames of this fire were so fierce that it created panic even in India. 40-42 Indians are among those who died in the Kuwait fire tragedy. The rest are said to be Pakistani and Nepali citizens. It is being said that most of the dead are from Kerala. Slowly the bodies are being identified. The list of the dead has come out. Some of them were drivers, some were engineers and some were labourers.
The Modi government has sent its Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Kirti Vardhan, to Kuwait. Some of the people who died in the Kuwait fire have been identified. But DNA tests will be used to identify some of the bodies. The list of people who have been identified so far has been released. So let us know who all were from Kerala who died in this fire.
1. Akash S Nair (23 years): He was from Pandalam and was living in Kuwait for the last 6 years.
2. Amruddin Shamir (33 years): He was from Kollam Poyapally and was a driver in Kuwait.
3. Stephen Abraham Sabu (29): He was an engineer by profession and hailed from Kottayam.
4. KR Ranjith (34): He had been living in Kuwait for 10 years and was a storekeeper.
5. Kelu Ponmaleri (55): He was a production engineer and lived in Kasargod. He has two sons.
6. PV Muralidharan was living in Kuwait for the last 30 years. He was a senior supervisor in a company there.
7. Sajan George was a chemical engineer in Kuwait.
8. Lukose (48) had been working in Kuwait for the last 18 years.
9. Saju Varghese (56) was a resident of Konni.
10. Thomas Oommen was from Thiruvalla.
11. Viswas Krishnan was from Kannur.
12. Noah was from Mallapuram.
13. MP Bhulayan was also from Mallapuram.
14. Srihari Pradeep was from Kottayam.
