Washington: Former US President Donald Trump held an election rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. During this, sounds of gunfire were heard in his rally. He was taken off the stage in a protective manner by Secret Service agents after loud noises resembling possible gunfire were heard in the rally. As soon as the gunfire stopped, Trump made a face and put his hand on his right ear, where blood was clearly visible on his cheek and mouth. Trump said in a social media post after the incident that he was ‘shot’ in the upper part of his right ear.
According to news agency AFP, the agents reached the podium, after which they surrounded the Republican presidential candidate and took him down from the stage. Trump raised his fist towards the crowd in protest against the attack. The shocking incident will further increase the concern in the country which is already worried about the possibility of unrest and political persecution before the election battle between Trump and President Joe Biden in November.
