New Delhi. In the FIFA Football World Cup being played in Qatar, Morocco’s team has made history by reaching the pre-quarterfinals after 36 years. In the match played against Canada on Thursday, the team won 2-1 and topped the group to secure a place in the next round. Morocco’s team won all three of its matches in the group and secured a total of 7 points and made it to the last 16 with pride.
Morocco’s team managed to gain a lead by putting pressure on Canada in the first 10 minutes. In the fourth minute of the first half, Morocco’s Hakim Ziyech scored a goal in Canada’s goal post and gave the team a great lead. Morocco needed only a draw to make it to the next round, but the team continued its excellent form in the tournament against Canada as well.
