G7 Summit 2024 Live Updates: G-7 leaders have begun gathering in Fasano, Italy, to attend the 50th edition of the G-7 summit. The summit is being held from June 13 to June 15. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been invited as a special guest for the event, has arrived in Italy. During the summit, which is likely to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine and the conflict in Gaza, India will focus on issues such as artificial intelligence, energy, Africa and the Mediterranean region.
PM Modi, who will attend the outreach session of the G-7 summit, is likely to hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders including his counterpart US President Joe Biden, Italy’s Giorgia Meloni and others. In a statement, PM Modi said that the outreach session will also discuss issues important for the global south.
