Rohit Malviya, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager/ Public Relations Officer said that keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, all the ticket checking staff (TTE) of trains have been given first aid kits. All 13 types of medicines related to general treatment will be available in this first aid kit. It will be necessary for the checking staff to keep this kit with them. Any passenger can avail the facility of first aid by paying Rs 50 in case of emergency in a moving train.
How to take advantage of the facility
If a passenger needs first aid in a running train, he will have to contact the on-duty TTE. After that, the on-duty checking staff will contact the doctor over the telephone and provide information. And as per his instructions, the passenger will be given medicine immediately. Details of medicine, passenger’s name, gender, age, PNR, coach number, berth number, name of the travel station, name of the destination station and name of the consulting doctor, all this information will be recorded in the record.
These medicines will be in the kit
The first aid kit will have general treatment for fever, vomiting, diarrhea, minor injuries, eye drops, bandages. First aid kits have been made available to 257 ticket checking staff of the division.
