He told that the first thing that the intelligence profilers look at is the clothes of the passengers. Is the passenger wearing very loose clothes? Is the passenger wearing clothes that are not suitable for the weather? For example, if someone comes to the airport wearing a jacket in the summer season, he will come into the notice of the intelligence profilers at first glance. Apart from this, they also keep a special eye on the mask or any such cloak with which the passenger has covered his entire body.

He said that the gestures, movements, gait and activities of the passengers who come under suspicion due to their clothes are kept under special observation. Meanwhile, if the suspicion of the intelligence profiler is confirmed, he immediately informs the security officer deployed for pre-embarkation security check about the suspicious passenger, so that his security check can be done thoroughly. Some cases were caught with the help of profiling

• July 08, 2024: With the help of profiling, CISF arrested a passenger of Uzbekistan origin named Pulatov Dostonbek. 1.92 lakh US dollars worth Rs 1.60 crore have been recovered from his possession.
• June 19, 2024: A passenger trying to cross over to Canada in disguise was caught with the help of intelligence profiling. After interrogation, the wife of the accused passenger was also arrested.
• June 15, 2024: During the security check of a passenger travelling from Delhi Airport to Dubai, three ankle-tied packets were recovered. These packets contained diamonds worth Rs 2.19 crore.
• June 14, 2024: A passenger going to Abu Dhabi had tied 3 lakh 600 UAE Dirhams to his waist and legs with the intention of smuggling. This passenger was detained by CISF from Cochin Airport.
