Kamala Harris gains support within the party, now preparing to take on Donald Trump

The presidential election in America has reached an interesting stage. Vice President and Democrat leader Kamala Harris has said that she has secured the necessary support within her party to become a candidate. Now only its formal announcement is left. She has issued a statement and thanked the party leaders. This is a big success for Kamala Harris after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race for the next president two days ago. It was Joe Biden who proposed Kamala Harris’ candidature. After that, many prominent leaders of the Democratic Party expressed support for Kamala Harris to join this race.

Elected officials, party leaders and organizations of the Democratic Party rallied in support of Harris, with the aim of putting an end to the weeks-long debate within the party over Biden’s candidacy. President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he will not contest the upcoming presidential election. Along with this, he endorsed the name of Vice President Kamala Harris as the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party.

Will Harris be able to compete with Trump?
Experts say it is too early to analyze the Harris vs. Trump election. Harris was not a presidential candidate before today, and Biden’s being in the presidential race often explains his better numbers than Harris. A recent national YouGov poll for CBS News gave Trump a five-point lead over Biden and a three-point lead over Harris.

There are two things that should benefit Harris. One is that economic data has improved, inflation has fallen and real earnings have risen. The second thing is that Biden will be about 82 years old by the time of the election, while Harris will be 60 by then. Trump is 78, so the age divide that was unfavorable to Biden will be favorable to Harris.

Vance’s attack on Kamala Harris
Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance launched a scathing attack on incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris in one of his early campaign rallies on Monday. The Ohio senator campaigned at his former high school in Middletown before addressing an evening rally in Radford, Virginia.

Vance said in Virginia that history will remember Joe Biden as a man who left the field and one of the worst presidents in the history of America. But my friends, Kamala Harris is a million times worse than him and everyone knows this. She has endorsed every failure of Joe Biden and has lied about his (Biden’s) mental ability to work as president.

Harris targets Trump
US Vice President Kamala Harris began her presidential campaign with a scathing attack on Republican candidate Donald Trump. She alleged that the former president wants to take the country backwards. Addressing her campaign team in Wilmington, Delaware on Monday, Kamala (59) said that Trump’s controversial Project 2025 ‘will weaken the middle class and take us back to the failed policies under which billionaires and big companies were given huge tax breaks and working people were made to pay for it.’

Targeting Trump, he said that Donald Trump wants to take our country back to the era when many Americans did not have full freedom and rights. But we believe in a bright future in which there is a place for all Americans. We believe in a future where every person has an opportunity not only to earn a livelihood but also to move ahead.
