Kim Jong-un riding on Putin's shoulder glared at the US, raising tensions in South Korea and Japan

Sol. No one can predict what North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un might do. Riding on Putin’s trust, this dictator has now opened a front against three countries at once. In fact, North Korea fired two ballistic missiles at South Korea in the early hours of Monday. The South Korean army has given this information, which is likely to increase tensions in the region.

South Korea, America and Japan have just completed a joint military exercise. Dictator Kim Jong has already expressed his displeasure over this. In such a situation, this missile attack is being seen as a warning against this military exercise. After the recent agreement with Putin, Kim is seen in a different attitude.

What was the deal between Putin and Kim?
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a ‘Comprehensive Strategic Partnership’ treaty during a summit in Pyongyang last month. This agreement also includes a promise that both countries will help each other if there is an attack. Since then, concerns have been raised about the growing military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow. Meanwhile, this latest missile attack by Kim has raised new concerns.

North Korea fired missiles early in the morning
On the other hand, South Korea’s Joint Chief of Staff (JCS) said that a ballistic missile was fired from the Jungyon region of South Hwanghae province at around 5:05 am on Monday in the north-eastern direction. Immediately after this, another ballistic missile was fired at around 5:15 am. Yonhap news agency did not give further information about how far the missiles traveled. JCS told the media, ‘Our army will share North Korean ballistic missile data with US and Japanese officials, we are keeping a close eye on the situation.’

Kim is angry with US-Japan-South Korea military exercises
Earlier on Sunday, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry condemned the military exercises of South Korea, the US and Japan and said that the country would take ‘aggressive and heavy’ retaliation against it. The joint exercise of South Korea, the US and Japan ended on Saturday, it involved fighter jets and warships. An American aircraft carrier was also involved.

North Korea has already expressed its displeasure over this military exercise and issued a warning. On Wednesday also, it fired ballistic missiles towards the East Sea. North Korea has claimed that it has successfully tested several missiles, but South Korea has rejected this claim calling it a ‘hoax’ and said that this launch failed because the missile exploded in the air.
