His mother, father and elder sister liked to play chess in their free time. He considers Vishwanathan Anand and Magnus Carlson as his role models. Regarding his family background, Ankit said that his father Ramji Singh is associated with the transportation business. His mother Anita Sinha is a housewife.

After that, he completed his graduation in B.Sc from Sector 12 RBS College and now his next goal is to win the National Chess Competition.
