A five-second selfie video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni smiling and waving at the camera is set to become the most viewed video clip on social media. The clip, posted by Italian PM Giorgia Meloni on Saturday afternoon, has been viewed over 20.2 million times in less than nine hours and reposted over 64,000 times on X.
In the video, the two leaders can be seen sharing a laugh after their bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the G-7 summit in Apulia, Italy on Friday evening. The same video post has been viewed over 19.1 million times on Meloni’s Instagram handle. Meloni has captioned the video as ‘Namaste dost, Melody ki baar se’, expressing his friendship with Prime Minister Modi.
Replying to Italian PM Giorgio Meloni’s post on social media platform X, PM Modi wrote, “Long live India-Italy friendship!” – the post had garnered 8.6 million views as of Saturday evening.
