This has increased America’s concerns. Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to create a trade and security system with North Korea that is not under the control of Western countries. In a letter published in North Korea’s state media on Tuesday before his visit to North Korea, Putin pledged his unwavering support to dictator Kim Un Jong’s regime.
Russian President Putin said that the two countries have developed good relations and partnership based on equality, mutual respect and trust in the last 70 years. Putin wrote that both countries will jointly oppose illegitimate unilateral sanctions and maintain security in Eurasia. Putin thanked North Korea for supporting Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. He vowed support for North Korea’s efforts to protect its interests despite US pressure, blackmail and military threats.
Putin is going to visit North Korea for the first time in 24 years for two days from today. Putin’s foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov said that Russia and North Korea can sign a partnership agreement during this visit. Which will include security issues. He said that this agreement will not be against any other country, but will bring forward the possibilities of further cooperation. While Moscow and North Korea have denied any arms transactions. After North Korea, Putin will visit Vietnam on June 19-20.
