New Delhi. To connect directly with customers, businessmen have now found another way besides e-commerce sites. Businessmen are now selling their goods to customers directly on WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media sites. Grocers are also taking online orders by adding customers on WhatsApp. The number of such businessmen doing business in this way in Delhi-NCR is around 50 thousand. At the same time, 10 lakh businessmen across the country are taking their business forward in this way. This survey has been conducted by Shiprocket.

BC Bhartia, National President of Confederation of All India Traders (CAT), the largest organization of traders in the country, and Praveen Khandelwal, National General Secretary, said that Shiprocket had conducted a survey among 40816 traders in different states of the country between September 1 and September 30. The survey has revealed that a new market is rapidly developing in the country through social media. According to the survey, about 17.96 percent of the new traders are using social media for business. Whereas 35.19 percent of the traders who are already doing business are using online websites. On the other hand, only 12.04 percent of the new traders are doing business through offline market.

This item was sold on social sites during Diwali
According to Praveen Khandelwal of CAT, in this festive season of Diwali, personal care (18.45%), food and grocery (16.51%), clothing (15.09%), electronics (11.37%), health (7.60%), household items and cleaning items (4.59%), and jewelry (3.83%) were sold on social sites. This clearly shows that small traders are gradually expanding their business through social media, which is a good sign for the country.
