The 27th annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival will run Oct. 26 – Nov. 2.

According to a press release, the festival kicks off with a gala and opening night screening, and the rest of the week will feature competition screenings, premiere screenings, workshops, lectures, and panels.

The festival will also feature several special bits of programming, including the “Docs to Watch” series, spotlighting the 10 best documentaries of the year hosted by Scott Feinberg of The Hollywood Reporter. Variety magazine will host “Artisans to Watch,” honoring behind the scenes artists, and “Pixels and Pencils,” highlighting the best animated features of the year. A “Breaking Big” panel will celebrate the next generation of Hollywood talent, hosted by Entertainment Weekly, and the festival will include an LGBTQIA+ Shorts Competition, hosted by Amazon MGM Studios.

Festival organizers have yet to announce the 2024 lineup. According to the release, last year’s festival screened 26 Oscar-nominated films. Nine of the 10 films were Best Picture nominees. The 2023 festival’s guests and honorees included Kevin Bacon, Ava DuVernay, Emerald Fennell, Sarah Greenwood, Todd Haynes, Cord Jefferson, Greta Lee, Eva Longoria and more.

Festival passes are available now online. Individual tickets should go on sale Oct. 4.
