With the permission of Shri Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj, the Principal of Sri Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, Acharya Gnanamahoddhi Param Pujya, the venerable saints have reached Arusha – Tanzania for satsang preaching in East African nations. With the permission of Param Pujya Gnanamahoddhi Acharya Swamiji Maharaj, the Granth Shiromani “Shikshapatri” was celebrated in the presence of venerable saints in Arusha – Tanzania under the “Shikshapatri Bicentenary Festival” with devotion.

Shikshapatri means… Shiksha means the preaching of interests and Patri means a tool to convey one’s opinion to another place. That is, Shikshapatri means a letter-article that preaches interest. Shri Swaminarayan Bhagwan wrote Shikshapatri 198 years ago. In which the essence of more than 365 scriptures has been.

On this occasion, Sant Shiromani Sri Gurupriyadasji Swami explained the greatness of Shikshapatri and said that Shikshapatri was created by Sri Swaminarayan Bhagwan Himself. On Samvat 2082 Maha Sud Pancham, 200 years will be completed i.e. under “Shikshapatri Bishatabdi Mohotsav” Shikshapatri Group Path Parayana was organized with devotion. On this auspicious occasion, in the presence of Saint Shiromani Shri Sahajananda Swami, Shri Harikeshavdasji Swami and Shri Gurupriyadasji Swami and dignitaries, Haribhaktas young and old and future ones, Shikshapatri containing 212 verses was read, worshiped and aarti performed in mass. Haribhaktas took this opportunity with devotional fervor. In the end, Sahu happily enjoyed the supreme prasad of Shri Ji Prabhu and left for the place where he was.
