Sitamarhi. Because of what a son of Sitamarhi has done, he is being discussed everywhere. Actually, his son has joined the same department as his father in a junior post. We are talking about Warrant Officer Ganesh Kumar, a resident of Azamgarh in Sitamarhi district. This is the second highest rank among Junior Commissioned Officers. His son Ayush Kumar has joined as a Flying Officer i.e. fighter pilot. This is a commissioned rank. It can be held by officers who fly aircraft as well as ground duty officers and air crew officers.

A fighter pilot or combat pilot is a military aviator who is trained to fly in the cockpit of a fighter aircraft and engage in air-to-air combat, air-to-ground combat and sometimes electronic warfare. The father is very happy to see his son as his own officer.

I will become a bigger officer than my father
Ayush’s mother Jyoti Bala told that Ayush was born in the Air Force camp. He lived in the camp for more than 5 years and he had a passion to become a pilot since childhood. He always used to say that I will become a bigger officer than my father. She told that in the year 2007 she got a job as a teacher. After which she started living in Dumra of Sitamarhi with her son. She told that Ayush did his primary education in Sitamarhi DAV School. After this, he studied from Nalanda Sainik School and got success in NDA and on 15th June, he joined as a flying officer. His mother told that Ayush has been brilliant since the beginning. He has received many medals from primary school to Sainik School. Ayush’s mother is a teacher at Boha Primary School in Bajpatti block of Sitamarhi district.

Success in 2020
His mother told that her son was selected as a pilot in the Indian Air Force by passing the NDA exam held in the year 2020 in the first attempt. After receiving his training at the Air Force Academy Hyderabad for three years, he has been commissioned as a pilot. He told that Kunal, a friend of Ayush, has also become a pilot with him. Both are residents of Sitamarhi. However, both of them met at Sainik School. After three years of rigorous training in Gaya, Ayush, son of Ganesh Kumar, resident of Dumra block Azamgarh, has been selected as a fighter pilot in the Indian Army and Kunal Kumar, son of advocate Vishnudev Shukla, resident of Dumra Santoshi Chowk, has been selected as a transport pilot. Both have been commissioned as flying officers in a ceremony held at the Air Force Academy Hyderabad two days ago.
