In such a situation, following his father’s instructions, 9-year-old student of Purnia, Shaurya Vardhan Singh, has won three medals simultaneously in the swimming championship competition. At this young age, a fourth-grade student, following his father’s instructions, has won not one but three medals simultaneously in various swimming competitions at the state and district level. Purnia’s son Shaurya Vardhan Singh dreams of winning a medal in the Olympics in the future.
Actually, Shaurya Vardhan Singh started learning swimming two years ago on the insistence of his father. He used to go to Purnia and many other places for swimming practice. After getting full support from his father, he focused his entire attention on swimming and kept learning swimming in his free time along with his academic studies. Shaurya Vardhan’s hard work got good results and he brought pride to his family and the whole of Bihar by winning gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal simultaneously in the competition held in Patna.
The goal is to fulfill father’s dreams
While talking exclusively to Local 18, Shaurya Vardhan Singh said that he still has a lot to learn in swimming. However, he was made to participate in butterfly, fish type and many other different competitions in this championship competition. He says that now he wants to play in the Olympics and his dream is to play in the Olympics. By winning a gold medal for the country in the Olympics, one can make the entire country proud along with his family. All that is required for this is hard work and a better platform. His dream is to win a gold medal along with representing the state and the country in national and international level swimming competitions and then he will be successful in fulfilling his father’s dreams.

Father Kumar Suman is also very happy with his son’s success. He said that it is very important for children to get the right direction at the beginning. However, he says that there is no arrangement for swimming in Purnia, due to which children here have to go to other places to learn swimming. He said that his son’s dream of winning the Olympics will definitely be fulfilled and he has started preparing from now itself.
