The uncontrollable increase in the prices of vegetables has added fuel to the fire. In the capital Delhi, the price of tomato has now crossed Rs 100 per kg. The prices of onion and potato are also making people cry. The price of green vegetables has been on fire for the last few days. Market experts say that due to excessive heat in the country this time, the production of vegetables including tomato has decreased. Now the supply of vegetables has also been disrupted due to rain. Due to this, the prices are increasing every day.

According to a report by Moneycontrol, according to the data of the Central Department of Consumer Affairs, tomatoes are available at Rs 100 per kg at Mother Dairy’s retail outlet ‘Safal’ in New Delhi. Whereas in other markets tomatoes are being sold at the rate of Rs 93 per kg. According to the data of the Department of Consumer Affairs, on July 20, the average price of tomatoes across the country was Rs 73.76 per kg.

The prices of potatoes and onions are also making people sweat
The prices of tomatoes, potatoes and onions have increased a lot in Delhi and some other cities. The supply has been disrupted due to extreme heat and subsequent heavy rains. On July 20, the retail price of onion at Safal stores in West Delhi was Rs 46.90 per kg. While its average price across the country was Rs 44.16 per kg.

The price of potatoes on Saturday was Rs 41.90 per kg at Mother Dairy store in Delhi. According to the data of the Department of Consumer Affairs, the price of potatoes in the local market is Rs 40 per kg. The average price of potatoes across the country is Rs 37.22 per kg.

Gourd and bitter gourd are also eating a lot of prices
On Saturday, Mother Dairy sold bottle gourd at Rs 59 per kg, bitter gourd at Rs 49 per kg, beans at Rs 89 per kg, ladyfinger at Rs 49 per kg, tinda at Rs 119 per kg, green capsicum at Rs 119 per kg, brinjal (small) at Rs 49 per kg. Brinjal was available at Rs 59 per kg, pointed gourd at Rs 49 per kg and arbi at Rs 69 per kg.
