When the spirits are high... ISRO gets support from NASA, the dream of conquering space will soon come true

New Delhi: India has now left its mark on the moon. Along with this, the country is on the path of doing new feats in space. India is making its mark day and night in the world of technology. India has even made full preparations to send its scientists to space. Now it is reported that NASA is helping ISRO in this work. The US space agency is also working to advance the initiative on critical and emerging technology (ICET) between the two countries. Bill Nelson, the head of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), has himself confirmed this.

NASA Administrator Nelson has said that the US space agency will increase cooperation with India. He has said that NASA will “work together” on the International Space Station (ISS) with an Indian astronaut. Nelson’s remarks came after the US and India held ICTS talks between National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and his American counterpart Jake Sullivan on Monday.

Nelson posted on the social media platform ‘X’ on Thursday and wrote, “Following my visit to India last year, NASA is advancing the United States and India’s initiatives on critical and emerging technology for the benefit of humanity. Together we are expanding our countries’ cooperation in space, including a joint effort on the International Space Station with an ISRO astronaut. Although specific details about the mission are still in the works, these efforts will support future human spaceflight and improve life on Earth.

What did Doval say?
On Tuesday, Doval, in the presence of his US counterpart Jake Sullivan, said that India and the US should remain at the forefront of developing critical technologies as part of a larger strategic interest. Doval’s remarks came a day after he and Sullivan unveiled transformational initiatives to deepen India-US cooperation in the areas of artificial intelligence, semiconductors, critical minerals, advanced telecommunications and the defence sector.
