Why did Zomato say sorry to Swiggy? Social media criticized it heavily, users said- even primary school children don't behave like this

New Delhi. After the increasing cases of Coronavirus in Maharashtra, the state government has issued matters like night curfew/ partial lockdown. The Maharashtra Government announced on Tuesday that from Wednesday, a night curfew will be imposed in Mumbai after 8 pm. During this time, only essential services and transportation of goods will be allowed. Restaurants have been closed, food delivery has been allowed in the entire state. Zomato probably did not understand this order of night curfew of the Maharashtra government. That is why Zomato’s co-founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal, who was confused about the night curfew from 8 pm, attacked his arch rival Swiggy. Goyal tweeted.

Know what CEO Deepinder Goyal writes
Zomato’s CEO wrote that Zomato is ready to deliver essential food items after 8 pm in Mumbai during the night curfew, but we are not doing so because we are law abiding people. But I see that our competitor is making deliveries even after 8 pm. I appeal to Mumbai Police to clarify on this matter.

Swiggy did not say anything on this but Mumbai Police responded immediately. Mumbai Police wrote that please read the government’s notification, home delivery has been allowed, but no time limit has been set. After this, Zomato realized its mistake and apologized.
