Why is Putin's army forced to 'ride' death? New weapon brought in war against Ukraine, own life in danger

Russia Ukraine War Update: The war between Russia and Ukraine continues. Ukraine has suffered the most in this war. But Russia has also suffered no less. A surprising news related to the war is that Russia is now sending its soldiers to the battlefield on bikes as well. Since the stock of armored vehicles is running out, the Russian army is sending its soldiers to war on cheap motorcycles.

Forbes reports that as many Russian soldiers go to war on bikes, “more Russian soldiers are dying or being wounded while going to war on bikes.” Analyst Andrew Perpetua confirmed that five Russian combat motorcycles were destroyed in February, one in March, 13 in April, 56 in May, and nine in the first week of June alone. Dozens of motorcycles were damaged.

Despite significant losses, the Russian army is doubling down on attacking motorcycles. The 5th Motorized Rifle Brigade fighting around Krasnohorivka formed a special motorcycle platoon. Russian propaganda correspondent Aleksandr Sladkov added extra emphasis to this.

According to the so-called Russian “military corps”, brigades can form their own motor platoons and entrust them with the task of “delivering essential goods and evacuating the wounded”. However, the Russians are also likely to play a direct combat role. More and more often, Russian commanders, faced with a shortage of equipment, send their motorcycle troops to directly attack Ukrainian positions.
