Mumbai. A court in the country’s financial capital Mumbai has convicted Parvez Tak for murdering his stepdaughter and actress Laila Khan, her mother and Laila’s four siblings in 2011. Tak has also been found guilty of destroying evidence. The hearing on what and how much punishment Parvez Tak will get will be held on May 14. The sentence will be announced only after the hearing. Parvez Tak was arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police. Let us tell you that Laila Khan was once a famous Bollywood actress. She was murdered in her house. Laila also worked with Rajesh Khanna in a film. After about 13 years, the family of actress Laila Khan has got justice.
Parvez Tak, convicted of murdering his stepdaughter, was the third husband of Laila’s mother Celina. Actress Laila, her mother and her four siblings were murdered in February 2011 in their bungalow in Igatpuri in Nashik district of Maharashtra. The prosecution had said that after an argument over property, Tak first killed Celina and then Laila and her four siblings. The murder case came to light a few months later when Tak was arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The bodies were recovered from the bungalow in a decomposed state. The prosecution had produced 40 witnesses against Tak in the court.

Reshma Patel aka Laila Khan was born in 1978 and started her acting career in 2002 with the Kannada film Makeup. In 2008, Laila worked with Rajesh Khanna in a film ‘Wafa a Deadly Love Story’. However, this film flopped badly. Actress Laila Khan was murdered in 2011.

After this, the police investigated and arrested Parvez Tak, then the mystery of the murder was revealed. Parvez killed Laila Khan and her mother Shelina Khan and other family members and buried their bodies in the farm house. The police recovered the bodies and identified them through DNA test.
