Big reshuffle in BSF, DG as well as Special DG removed, home cadre sent before completion of term - breaking news BSF DG Special DG tenure cut short repatriated to state cadres Bangladesh Pakistan border

New Delhi. A big news is coming out. The Director General and Special DG of BSF have been removed even before the completion of their tenure. Also, they have been asked to report to their respective cadres. BSF chief Nitin Agarwal was given the responsibility of BSF Chief in June last year. Let us tell you that BSF is responsible for the security of Bangladesh border in the east and Pakistan border in the west. After the violent protests in Bangladesh, a large number of people from the neighboring country came to India.

According to the order issued by the government, the Center on Friday removed BSF Director General (DG) Nitin Agarwal and his Deputy Special DG (West) YB Khurania with immediate effect and sent them back to their respective state cadres. However, the government has not given the reasons behind this decision. Only the order to remove both the highly ranked officers of BSF has been issued.

took over the reins in June
Nitin Agarwal was given the responsibility of BSF DG in June last year. Agarwal is a 1989 batch Kerala cadre IPS officer. Whereas, Khurania is a 1990 batch Odisha cadre officer. Agarwal took over as Border Security Force chief in June last year. Khurania, as Special Director General (West), was leading the formation of BSF on the Pakistan border.

ACC issued different orders
Separate orders issued by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) stated that they are being sent back with immediate effect and before time. Let us tell you that the BSF, with a strength of about 2.65 lakh soldiers, protects the Indian borders with Pakistan in the west and Bangladesh in the east. Both these borders are very important from the security point of view of the country. The problem of smuggling and infiltration always persists in these areas.
