Digvijay says that tourists will also be given a discount on the rent if they book rooms through the website created by the association, because 15 to 20 percent commission is taken if rooms are booked through other websites. Also, there are many websites that also take TDS and TCS.
The risk of fraud will be reduced
Digvijay Singh Bisht said that lakhs of tourists visit Nainital throughout the year. In such a situation, most of the tourists book rooms online and make advance payment. Many travellers, lured by cheap accommodation, make advance payment on fake websites and become victims of fraud. In such a situation, the association has also provided the facility of hotel booking without advance payment.
