Vaishali. The Transport Department has started a campaign at the block level to make people aware of the Chief Minister Block Transport Scheme. The time to apply for the benefit of the scheme is till August 25. With this scheme, the Chief Minister Block Transport Scheme has been run by the government with the aim of making people self-employed in Vaishali and connecting the blocks to the district headquarters. Under this, the beneficiaries will get a grant of up to Rs 5 lakh per bus on purchasing a bus.
To avail the benefits of Mukhyamantri Block Parivahan Yojana, it is mandatory for the beneficiaries to have five types of documents. To apply, the beneficiary must have caste certificate, residential certificate, matriculation qualification certificate, Aadhaar card, and driving license. Only seven beneficiaries can avail the benefits of this scheme in a block. Two Scheduled Caste category, two Extremely Backward Class, one Backward Class, one Minority, and one General category will be selected as beneficiaries.
To avail the benefits of this scheme, the minimum age along with eligibility should be more than 18 years. The benefits of this scheme will be available in 15 blocks of Vaishali district except Hajipur Sadar block. The beneficiary should not be employed in any government service.
Any officer or employee working in any government service will not get the benefit of this scheme. Apart from this, to avail the benefit of the scheme in any block, it is mandatory to be a resident of the block. People can apply jointly to avail the benefit of this scheme.
Rakesh Kumar, Motor Vehicle Inspector of Vaishali district, said that the Block Transport Scheme is the dream project of the Chief Minister. The only aim of this scheme is to connect the blocks to the headquarters and provide employment to the people. The government will provide subsidy to the Transport Department for purchasing buses under the Chief Minister Block Transport Scheme.
