‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum’ Review: There is no dearth of cricket fans all over the world and now it has become even easier to watch cricket matches live, since it has started being broadcasted live on OTT platforms. Now cricket lovers have started watching live matches on their mobile phones. By the way, ever since the IPL has started, people’s love for cricket is becoming visible across the country. All the films made on cricket have received a lot of love from the audience.

In this series, VOOT has recently released a series based on cricket, named ‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum’, which is a documentary of 4 episodes. Let us tell you, in this series, there is an attempt to tell and make the Indian cricket team’s tour of Australia historic. Actually, there is a test match series between India and Australia in the name of Border-Gavaskar Trophy and during its previous matches when Team India was in Australia, it was targeted by the audience and journalists due to its performance.

‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum’ is a story of overcoming all these circumstances and shows the passion and determination of the Indian cricket team players. The opening episode is a sore point for every cricket fan in India where they see their team getting bundled out for 36 runs in Adelaide (their lowest score in Test history). Rahane is the centre of attraction during the episode where he highlights how Virat Kohli’s run out in the first innings (which happened because of him) completely changed the momentum in Australia’s favour.

Kohli (who was India’s captain at the time) was granted paternity leave after the first Test and his deputy Rahane took over from there for the remainder of the tour. Everyone remembers Rahane, who scored a memorable century in that contest and was also praised for laying the platform for India’s massive win. However, this web series revealed that at that time Rahane was not fully fit to bat in the first innings due to a severe back strain.

The last episode was a story of grit and determination displayed by the duo of Hanuma Vihari and Ravichandran Ashwin. It is a story to watch how two injured players fought hard against one of the best bowling attacks in world cricket and saved the match for India. The emotions of the Australian players have been showcased very well in the documentary. After the episode ends, Rahane gets a little emotional while recalling the unprecedented moment of lifting the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Director Neeraj Pandey has managed to bring back the memories of this historic victory.
