Before the family members could understand anything, he became a victim of polio. Ajay says that he was young, he did not understand anything, but later he was told that there was no medicine for polio at that time. Polio attacked him so badly that both his legs below the waist became lifeless. The family members tried to get him treated at many places, but did not get much benefit.

Ajay Gupta says that his grandfather used to run a sweet shop. One day a teacher from a government school came and seeing Ajay sitting at the shop, he started talking about schooling. The family members said that Ajay cannot walk with both his legs, so he cannot study. The teacher explained that something has happened to his legs, not his brain, so he should be sent to school.

Ajay Gupta says that the family understood what the teacher said and he started going to school on someone’s shoulders. He started studying from the third class and did not stop studying. Later, he started going to school and college in a wheelchair. This is how he completed his studies. Ajay says that he saw many ups and downs in life, but did not lose courage.

Despite being disabled, Ajay Gupta had the intention of doing something different. He expressed his desire to do business to his family. At first, his family was not ready, but later they agreed. Ajay first started a hardware business, but did not succeed. After this, he stepped into computer education and opened a computer coaching institute, whose branches opened in many cities, however, this business also came to a halt after the government allowed computer education in colleges.

How did the idea of ​​’Bachpan’ come about?
Ajay Gupta says that when he went to look for a play school for his daughter, he could not find any good play school. This gave him the idea of ​​this business. He formed a company named ‘SK Educations’ in 2004 and laid the foundation of ‘Bachpan’ school. Today, more than 1100 ‘Bachpan’ play school franchises are running across the country, in which thousands of children study. Ajay Gupta also founded ‘Academic Heights Public School’ in 2009 and ‘Rishihood University’ in 2015. Ajay Gupta never gave up despite his disability and has built a business worth crores.
