Yaoundé (Cameroon). After the match played between Ghana and Gabon in the Africa Cup of Nations football tournament, a scuffle broke out between the players of both the teams. During this, a player was also punched. Video clips related to this also went viral on social media. After falling behind, Gabon scored a goal in the last moments and equalized the score to 1-1. After the final whistle of the match, Ghana’s substitute player Benjamin Tetteh punched Gabon’s Aaron Boupendza.
During this, there was a scuffle between the players and team officials of both the teams in the stadium. After this draw match, Ghana’s team has slipped to third place in its group (Group C). Tetteh was shown a red card for punching and he is sure to be banned. Captain Andre Ayew gave Ghana the lead in the 18th minute but Jim Alewinah scored the equaliser in the 88th minute of the match.

While 1982 champion Ghana is in danger of being eliminated from the group stage, Gabon and Morocco have strengthened their position for the last 16. Morocco defeated Comoros, which was making its debut in the tournament, 2-0. In the Group B match, Guinea held the strong Senegal team to a goalless draw. Sadio Mane, who plays for Liverpool, could not perform well for his national team.
