Woman's decomposed body found in a sack, husband and other relatives arrested - India TV

A police officer said on Saturday that an unidentified body of a woman was found in Maharajnagar area under Trombay police station on August 23. The body was partially decomposed.

“An unidentified body of a woman was found in the Maharajnagar area. The body was partially decomposed and was wrapped and dumped. A case of murder has been registered at the Trombay police station. 10 teams are working on the case,” Zone 6 DCP Hemraj Singh Rajput said.

He said, “We have arrested 5 people so far, including 3 men and 2 women. All 5 accused are relatives of the victim, including the victim’s husband.”

A statement issued by the police said that the police have identified the deceased woman and have arrested her husband and his family members for questioning after registering a case on the charge of murder under the Indian Penal Code (BNS).

Police are investigating to find out the motive behind the murder. However, the officer said that the reason behind the murder could be domestic discord.
