The accused usurer had jumped from the bathroom of the 6th floor and was hiding above the window of the 4th floor.
The notorious accused of forcing a fruit trader in Vadodara to attempt suicide by threatening to recover interest money has been arrested by the PCB police from Daman. Accused Kalpesh had gone underground to avoid arrest and went to the court to get anticipatory bail.

Kalpesh’s son had come from Canada and wanted to live with his father, so both of them stayed together in a flat in Daman. On searching there, the police peeped through the bathroom window and found that Kalpesh had jumped from the 6th floor bathroom holding a pipe and was hiding on the 4th floor window. Police arrested him and took him to Vadodara on the morning of 18th December. In the afternoon he was taken on foot to the police building, where he was limping at the Vadodara Crime Branch in the evening.

The accused was living in an acquaintance’s flat with his son in Daman.
The accused was staying in Daman with his son who had come from Canada. Vadodara’s notorious criminal Kalpesh Kachhiya was taken to Sayaji Hospital for medical checkup, from where he was taken on foot to Vadodara Crime Branch where the police started the search operation. When Kalpesh’s name was revealed, he felt that now the police will not leave him. Due to this fear, remembering God in trouble, he walked 200 kilometers on foot. He reached Salangpur for darshan, then returned from there and stayed in Anand for 2 days and then came to Vadodara for 1 day and then reached Bharuch.
Kalpesh reached Daman with the car of a friend living in Ankleshwar. He was living in an acquaintance’s flat with his son in Daman. Since Kalpesh’s son had come from Canada for a few days, he had expressed his desire to stay with his father, so both father and son were living together in a flat in Daman. On the other hand, the PCB team was continuously searching for Kalpesh and late in the night, when concrete information was received that Kalpesh was in Daman, the local police was informed.
The accused was also detained 5 times under PASA Joint Police Commissioner Dr. Leena Patil said that more than 20 crimes including murder, attempt to murder, Arms Act are registered against the accused. Has also been detained 5 times. Apart from the crime registered with Navapura Police, if there are any other victims, then file a complaint.
