Zepto Vice President Jitendra Bagga had resigned from his post. Sources have given this information to Moneycontrol. He stayed in this quick commerce company for 9 months. Bagga was heading the Mother Hubs (MH) and Line Hall (LH) projects which are part of the Warehousing division. Warehousing mother hubs and line halls are the key functions of Zepto. The important reason for this is that the company is preparing for large-scale expansion.
The firm had 300 dark stores earlier this year, but the number has now increased to 750. Zepto aims to overtake competitors like Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit, Flipkart Minutes and Tata BigBasket.
Bagga joined Zepto in April. Before joining Zepto, Bagga worked for Raymond Limited for 3 years. Apart from this, he also worked in Reliance Retail for 24 years. In his career spanning 27 years, he has also worked in supply chain and other related areas.
However, it is not yet clear who will replace Bagga at Zepto. However, it is anticipated that a candidate from within the company may replace Bagga. Sources told Moneycontrol that Zepto currently seems to be slow on external hiring. No response was received to the email sent by Zepto in this regard.
