Speed wreaked havoc in Palamu on Thursday night. A speeding uncontrolled car crushed five people. In this, two people died on the spot and three were seriously injured. The incident took place at Sabnawa turn located on Mohammadganj-Japla main road of Mohammadganj police station area.

People caught one person in the car, beat him severely and handed him over to the police. At the same time, the other youth in the car managed to escape. Here, the road jam that started after the incident ended after about 7 hours at 4 am on Friday after the SDO and SDPO explained.
Mohammadganj-Japala main road blocked
The deceased were identified as Arshad Khan and Asif Khan. While Imran Khan, Jahangir Khan and Hasnain Khan were seriously injured. After the accident, angry villagers blocked the Mohammadganj-Japala main road. A huge crowd has gathered on the road and traffic has been affected.
The car overturned crushing the people. The bike and scooter parked nearby were also hit by the car.
SDO and SDPO reached the spot
The villagers were demanding strict action from the administration against the culprits. SI Bipin Thakur of Mohammadganj police station said that the police reached the spot and tried to convince the people. He appealed to the villagers to maintain peace and said the incident was being investigated. After this, SDO and SDPO reached the spot and convinced the people to end the jam.
