The felicitation ceremony was organized in the city council office. The people of the puja committee were awarded in the function. In this sequence, Jai Maa Sherawali Sangh Bhagalpur Tandwa was awarded the first prize for the second consecutive time. While Jai Mata Di Sangh Sonpurwa was given second prize and Jai Maa Vaishno Sangh Tandwa was given third prize. On this occasion, it was told that Swachh Puja Committee competition was organized by Municipal Council Garhwa under Swachh Bharat- Swasth Bharat Abhiyan. Its main objective was to make the people of the city aware of cleanliness.
A jury was formed by the city council regarding this. The officials of the jury went around the city and took stock of the cleanliness.
On the basis of scoring maximum marks, the position of puja committee was decided as first, second and third. Municipal Council Executive Officer Sushil Kumar said that before Durga Puja, a meeting was held with the officials of the Puja Committee in the Municipal Council office. In the meeting, all the puja committee officials were instructed regarding cleanliness that they will work to pay special attention to cleanliness through their respective puja committees. Apart from this, thin plates will be used for distributing Prasad.
Separate doors will be made for male and female devotees who wish to have darshan of Maa Durga. He said that some puja committee instructions were followed. But the instructions were not followed by some puja committee officials. Keeping this in view, puja committees are being rewarded with first, second and third prizes.
During the ceremony, Jai Maa Sherawali Sangh Bhagalpur convenor Daulat Soni, President Sunil Kumar, Municipal Council CT Manager Omkar Yadav and many others were present.
