In Saharsa, late on Monday evening, an elderly man returning home after buying medicines died after being hit by a train. The local people hurriedly admitted the injured old man to Sadar Hospital, where he died during treatment. The incident took place at Vishwakarma Dha of Sadar police station area.

According to the information received, the deceased elderly man has been identified as Yogendra Jha (70), son of late Bijendra Jha. The deceased was working in BCCL Dhanbad and after retiring from service, lived in his house located on Income Tax Road, Koshi Chowk of Sadar police station area. The deceased is said to be a resident of Behta village of Sonvarsa police station area.
Regarding this incident, family member Munna Jha told that the deceased had gone to DB Road to get medicines and was returning with the medicines. Meanwhile, Vishwakarma was hit by a train while crossing the railway tracks at Dhala. Due to which he got seriously injured. Local people took the elderly man to Sadar Hospital, where he died during treatment.
